It was end of September, so we could feel the hot summer was subsiding. It was not cool but the weather was just good enough for us to shoot outdoor.
Kabin Chan and Emi Yamane are good friends and we had a portrait shoot in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. Kabin is from Hong Kong but she used to live and study in Japan and she could speak Japanese fluently. Emi was from Tokyo and she is currently living in Hong Kong.
Kabin and Emi had no experience posing in front of camera so they were very nervous at the beginning of the shoot. Kabin was unsure how to pose and could not stop checking the sample pictures of model posing from her phone. I wanted capture their portraits naturally so I took away her phone and told her: Relax, you dont need this, just follow my lead.
I guided them and also showed them the shots in my camera from time to time. After they had seen the shots and started to understand how they poseed, they became more comfortable and natural.
We had amazing shots and lots of fun in the two hours session. Here are some of the beautiful shots.
