High Saturation Color from Fujifilm Superia Premium 400

I visited Osaka and Kyoto on last winter Jan 2019. I went to Bic Camera shop at Namba, Osaka and bought the Fujifilm Superia Premium 400. The box contains 3 rolls of film, each roll has 36 frames. Unlike the Fujifilm Superia Xtra 400, the Premium version is labeled as "lively and beautiful skin color" on the box and is more expensive. The 3 rolls of Superia Premium film cost me 2,700 Yen (USD25 / MYR103) & price inclusive of tax.

It was my first experience using the Fujifilm Superia Premium 400. I loaded the film into my Canon F-1 and I shot mostly with my 28mm F3.5 lens around Kyoto.
So what' s the difference between the Superia Xtra Vs Superia Premium? I have shot a lot with Superia Xtra, I think this film is very reliable because it has balance in colors, saturation and contrast. Therefore this film is always my favourite and I used it quite often. Whereas the Superia Premium, I found the color tone is stronger, more saturated and higher contrast.

I think the Superia Premium is a bit expensive and the colors are too strong. Personally I preferred the Superia Xtra more than the Superia Premium version. However I think is still a good experience shooting with new types of films.

Maisy was shooting with Canon F-1, FD 28mm F2.5 lens. The camera was loaded with Fujifilm Superia Premium 400. I took this picture with Canon M6 digital camera, 15-45mm lens. We took a coffee break at the Rocca & Friends Truck, some where near the Yasaka Shrine (八坂神社).
The above and following pictures are shot with the Canon F-1, FD 28mm F3.5 and Fujifilm Superia Premium 400. From the above picture you can clearly see the colors and the tones are stronger.
We were visiting the Philosophy path at Kyoto and found many street cats. The cats were very fat and very friendly. One of the cats was enjoying petting from Maisy. The cat was very relaxing and starring at me when I was shooting with Canon F-1. We went back to hotel room to have instant cup noodles and Japanese beer. I shot this picture with Canon F-1 on a tripod by using the self-time. The Fujifilm Superia Premium 400 performs well at low light.
I took this picture during sunny day at Kamogawa (鴨川) Selfie with Canon F-1 using tripod and self-timer. The Fujifilm Superia Premium 400 delivers high contrast and saturated tone. Shot at Kyoto with Canon F-1.
